GG25, the predominant
cast iron alloy, offers an optimal blend of strength and abrasion resistance
while remaining easy to machine and achieve a polished finish. It possesses a
lamellar cast iron structure with primarily pearlitic composition.

EN1A Steel, also
referred to as 230M07, is a low carbon mild steel renowned for its free cutting
properties. Suitable for machining with automatic and CNC machines, EN1A is
particularly well-suited for intricate drilling and machining tasks.

Protalloy® (Zinc-nickel electroplating) offers exceptional corrosion resistance for both cast iron and steel. This service treatment ensures strong protection with a thin coating as minimal as 5 mμ, providing at least 1,000 hours of corrosion
protection. Protalloy® is particularly suited for products facing high
humidity, salt exposure, or extreme temperature fluctuations.

One significant advantage of zinc-nickel electroplating is its ability to form a stable whitish film, known as 'white haze,' during a salt spray test, which remains intact for extended periods (up to many thousands of hours). This feature leads to a slower corrosion process compared to electroplated zinc coatings, with fewer corrosion products formed. Additionally, the minimal coating thickness (minimum 5 mμ) has a negligible impact on critical dimensions.
